The City of Crystal Lake is the largest city in McHenry County, Illinois and was originally settled in 1836 by European settlers Beman and Polly Tuttle Crandall and their six children. Before it became Crystal Lake the city was known as The Village of Nunda.
The Village of Nunda became North Crystal Lake in 1908 and, six years later, on September 23, 1914, the two cities were consolidated and adopted the City of Crystal Lake Charter. Today the City of Crystal Lake boasts many popular attractions and lovely places to visit, as well as numerous fine dining establishments and taverns. Recent additions to the city include Chick-Fil-A, Texas Roadhouse, Which Wich, Five Guys Burgers & Fries, The Fresh Market, and Jameson’s Charhouse. One of Crystal Lake's greatest attractions is the sparkling, regional gem, Three Oaks Recreation Area, located on pristine lakes with a beach, hiking trail, boat rentals, scuba diving and much (much!) more. The park is less than 10 minutes from the Geraci Law LLC office. Another gem, the bustling, charming, historic Downtown is thriving with an array of independent shops and restaurants. And the Route 14 corridor is filled with big name retailers and restaurants, interspersed with many great local specialty shops and dining places. Recently, it was announced that a new Mariano’s Grocery store will fill the former Sears location on Route 14.
Our office in Crystal Lake mostly serves clients who reside in McHenry County, but we are also more than happy to assist clients who reside in nearby Kane, Lake and Cook counties as well. We regularly see clients from neighboring towns like Lake in the Hills, Algonquin, and Carpentersville and have a longstanding track record of success in all of our cases. Crystal Lake’s City Hall building can be found at 100 W Woodstock Street in Crystal Lake and can be reached by telephone at (815)459-2020 or online at firstname.lastname@example.org. Most cases filed out of our Crystal Lake location will attend their hearings in the City of Rockford. Hearings there are held at an easy to find central location, the Stewart Square Building at 308 W State Street in Rockford. The Bankruptcy Court for the Western District of Illinois is also located in Rockford, at 327 S. Church Street.
